MEETING NOTES FOR RESEARCHERS

Listen for the detail.
Return to the source.

01

Ask the follow-up.

Let the transcript support your note-taking while you stay with the participant. Follow the unexpected detail instead of rushing to write it down.

02

Review what was said.

Use the AI recap for orientation, then return to the transcript. Check wording and context before treating an answer as evidence.

03

Revisit the interview.

Ask your local library about a workflow, concern, or prior discussion. Use the answer to find context for your own analysis.

From conversation to a working research note.

An interview contains more than a list of answers. A participant may describe a workaround, revise an earlier statement, or explain why a small inconvenience matters. Keeping a transcript alongside a recap gives you a way to revisit those details while preparing your research notes.

muet processes transcription and meeting AI on your Mac, then lets you edit, copy, or export the result as Markdown. It supports the capture and review part of the work; it is not a qualitative coding platform and does not validate findings. Follow your study’s consent and data-handling process, and verify any passage you plan to quote against the original source.

Back in the loop, in a question.

Find the context behind a participant’s explanation before you begin your own analysis.

Why did the participant export the report?

They wanted to compare weekly changes that were not visible in the dashboard. They described doing this every Friday.

A little more clarity.

A few things to know before your next call.

Is an AI recap a substitute for research analysis?

No. Treat it as a navigation aid and working draft. Your research method, interpretation, and checks against source material still determine the findings.

Can I quote the transcript directly?

Verify wording against the original source before quoting it. Speech recognition can mishear names, terminology, and overlapping speech, and an AI recap is a paraphrase.

Can I move notes into my research tools?

You can copy text or export Markdown for use in your existing workflow. muet does not promise dedicated coding, thematic analysis, or research-repository integrations.

What do I need to get started?
