Does my meeting data stay private?
Your recordings, transcripts, recaps, and saved speaker profiles stay on your Mac. Transcription and AI processing happen on-device, without sending your meeting content to a cloud AI service. The app connects for model downloads and updates; the speech SDK may send usage telemetry. You choose what to export or share. Read our privacy policy for the details.
Which meeting apps work?
Yes. muet captures meeting audio on your Mac, so no bot needs to join the call. It works with Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams. You can also use your microphone to capture an in-person conversation.
Which Macs are supported?
muet requires macOS 15+ · Apple silicon (M1 or later). It’s a native Mac app; Intel Macs, Windows, and mobile devices aren’t supported.
Does it work offline?
Yes, after the initial model downloads. Transcription, AI recaps, and noise cancellation run locally. You’ll need an internet connection to download models and updates, and to join an online call.
What’s saved after a meeting?
A transcript with speaker labels, a saved recording, and an AI recap with a summary, decisions, next steps, and open questions. Select a word to return to that moment in the recording. You can also ask the Meetings Assistant about your saved meetings. Check important details—transcripts and AI recaps can make mistakes.
How do I enable noise cancellation?
Choose muet’s virtual microphone in your meeting app’s audio settings. muet reduces background noise on your Mac before your microphone audio reaches the call, helping others hear your voice more clearly.
Can I edit and export notes?
Yes. Add your own notes, edit your meeting details, and export a meeting as Markdown—a plain-text format you can keep on your Mac or use in other note-taking tools. You decide where exported files go.
Is there a free trial?
The free trial includes all features for 7 days, with no payment card required. Try it with your own meetings, microphone, and workflow before choosing a plan.
Monthly or buy once?
Both include all features. Monthly is $8 USD per month and can be cancelled anytime. The buy-once license is $79 USD for the first 100 customers, with no recurring subscription and 12 months of updates included.
